Juvenile Defense

OUR EXPERTISE COMES FROM EXPERIENCE

Juvenile Court is a jurisdiction designed not to punish, but to rehabilitate the child. In juvenile court, a juvenile may not proceed without an attorney. If an attorney does not represent the juvenile, a Public Defender WILL be appointed at a considerable expense to the parent. The court focuses on the question, “Why is this child at such a young age facing criminal charges and what can be done to prevent this child from destroying his or her life before it even begins?” It is extremely important that your attorney understands what is in the “best interests of your child and your family” when addressing juvenile court. When facing juvenile charges in the State of Maryland, it is important to be represented by an experienced attorney that understands all phases and nuances of juvenile law.
